We will be unable to deal with anything of a day to day nature, until our contractors are back after the Christmas break. Therefore, we respectfully ask you to only report anything that is truly urgent and we will do our utmost to call upon our contractors to meet with you.

If you could please take note of the following, as any issues that arise due to tenant neglect, would be your expense, not that of your Landlord.

  • Test smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms
  • Leave the Thermostat on - Set the thermostat to a low, but consistent temperature, to prevent the build-up of damp and mould and keep the pipes from freezing over. This small step can prevent significant damage
  • Ensure you have enough pressure in your boiler, so that it does not turn off and check batteries in your thermostat, another reason sometimes, heating fails
  • Bleed radiators
  • Don’t overload plug sockets
  • Don’t leave candles unattended
  • Don’t leave candles near Christmas trees or other greenery
  • Opt for battery-operated candles
  • Switch off or unplug fairy lights at night and when going outInspect Christmas lights for signs of damage before using

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year, with warmest regards from everyone in the Lettings team at Perry Bishop. 🎄🎄🎄
