Perry Bishop Sponsors Cafe of the Year at this year’s SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards

Where do you like to go for your cuppa? Whose flat whites set you up for the day? Where do you like to meet up with friends to put the world to rights over a large pot of Earl Grey? Which is your favourite hang-out for lunch or an afternoon treat?

Perry Bishop is proud to be sponsoring Cafe of the Year at this year’s SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards, the county’s biggest awards event – with 2022 marking the exciting fifth year of SGGLA.

Nominations are now open and it’s free to enter, so get voting!

We asked our teams to tell us about some of their personal favourites:

The Curious Cafe in Leckhampton, The Find in Cheltenham, Pretty & Pip in Cirencester, Woodruffs in Stroud, The Canteen in Nailsworth and the Whistle Stop Cafe in Tetbury were all given a mention.

But the decision is yours! Entries close on 31st March and the shortlist of finalists will be revealed on 11th April when voting will be reopened to the public, with the overall winner named at an awards evening at DEYA Brewing Company in Cheltenham on 29th June.

Get your thinking cappuccinos on and VOTE now for your winner!

Buying a home can feel easier when you know your budget, priorities and next steps. With mortgage costs still influencing decisions, preparation is one of the biggest advantages buyers have.

April is a good time for buyers to focus on readiness rather than guesswork. In a market where choice has improved but confidence remains mixed, being organised can make all the difference when the right home comes along.

For tenants, April is a useful point to pause and plan. With rents still rising across the UK and the first phase of rental reform approaching in England, this is a good time to review your budget, renewal options and next move.

As we move through May 2026, buyers are seeing more homes come to market, but affordability still matters. Here is what today’s mix of greater choice, steady demand and higher mortgage costs means if you are planning a move.
